WHY?

It started with a question.

Not with a business plan.

What if a measuring tool could help bartenders work with greater precision, even in low light?

That question stayed with us for years.

We never wanted to invent another bar tool.

We wanted to solve one real problem.

A bartender should always be able to see exactly what is being poured.

Behind a busy bar, light is not always where it is needed. Small quantities can change the balance of an entire drink.

That simple observation became more than ten years of work.

CURIOSITY

Curiosity came first.

Long before e-jigger, there was a habit of opening things to understand how they worked.

Electronics came next.

Aeronautical design taught us that every millimetre, material and technical choice must have a reason.

Bartending revealed the problem.

E-jigger came last.

Curiosity came first.Engineering came later.E-jigger came last.

THE SHARD

Precision became personal.

At Aqua Shard in London, a cocktail could cost twenty-one euros and require several ingredients in very small quantities.

In a dark, fast-moving service, fifteen millilitres had to be fifteen millilitres.

If the measurement changed, the drink changed.

The guest might never know.

The bartender would.

That was the moment the question became impossible to ignore:What if the jigger had a light?

TEN YEARS

One question. Ten years of work.

The first idea was simple.

Building it was not.

The illuminated core had to remain extremely small. Conventional batteries were too large, so the project moved toward supercapacitors.

The centre, cones and contact points had to work within millimetres without interfering with one another.

Prototypes changed.

Parts failed.

Files were reopened.

Measurements were corrected.

More than once, stopping seemed like the most reasonable option.

But the question remained.

PEOPLE

The project moved through small moments.

ANGELO

A conversation changed the power system.

Angelo and Vincenzo met at school.

Years later, their conversations opened the path toward supercapacitors and a smaller illuminated core.

He was also there, on a video call, when the first light turned on.

PIETRO

Sometimes you understand through someone else’s eyes.

One evening, Pietro saw the prototype illuminate for the first time.

His surprise made the object feel real in a new way.

LUCA

Every detail has a reason.

Before service at Aqua Shard, Luca Missaglia tightened Vincenzo’s tie, placed a hand on his shoulder and said:

“Go.”

That small gesture came to represent the discipline of the place.

THE WORKBENCH

This is where e-jigger was built.

Not in a large laboratory.

On a table at home.

Among cables, drawings, open boxes, discarded parts and a computer that often remained on until four in the morning.

Some people work in perfect order.

This project grew inside a different kind of order.

The kind only its creator could understand.

THE FIRST LIGHT

Six in the afternoon.

Vincenzo was at home.

His mother was beside him.

Angelo was watching through a video call.

The centre was touched.

The light turned on.

There was no celebration prepared for that moment.

Only a smile and one thought:

We are getting there.

DESIGNED TO EVOLVE

Designed to evolve.

E-jigger was created as a modular object.

The covers can be removed and replaced.

The measuring cones can be separated for cleaning.

The illuminated electronic core remains protected and independent.

The charging base is a sealed unit and contains a service-replaceable lithium battery.

The e-jigger body itself uses supercapacitors rather than a lithium cell.

The removable, non-electronic parts are designed for dishwasher cleaning, while the electronic core and charging base must be cleaned separately and must not be placed in a dishwasher.

IDENTITY

Create Yours.

Every bartender develops a personal way of working.

The light solves a problem.

The interchangeable covers create identity.

Professional UV printing allows colours, photographic artwork and, where suitable, raised tactile details.

Create Yours is not only a customization service.

It is the idea that a professional tool can still belong to the person using it.

If you don’t know where you’re going,
remember why you started.

STILL ASKING

It was never only about a light.

It was about respecting a gesture.

About building something carefully.

About continuing to ask why.

We thought we were building a product.

We were learning how we wanted to spend our time.
